Sharepoint: Force Expiry Policy Timer job to run

To test your custom expiry policy, you have to force the Expiry Policy Timer job to run. I found this very useful posting:

It's also possible to force the expiry policy timer job to run from the Sharepoint Central Administration page in MOSS2007.

In the tab Operations choose "Information Management Policy Configuration" under Security Configuration - "Expiration".

Here you can set the timing of the job but also a button "process expired items now" to start the timer job.

Another way to do this is in the Sharepoint Administration Center application. Its the sspac32.exe found in the sharepoint root folder.

There you execute the command policy /e -ex .now

Grateful to check out your website, I seem to be ahead to more excellent sites and I wish that you wrote more informative post for us. Well done work. said...
